The online store add-on
Sell from your
own website.
Products, a cart and a checkout on the site Genni built you. Customers pay by UPI, card or cash on delivery, the money goes into your account, and GenWeb takes no commission on anything you sell.
Set the whole shop up while you build. You pay for it with your plan when you publish.
Getting paid
The money goes to you, not through us
Use the payment accounts you already have. We never hold a customer's money, and we don't take a cut of a sale.
-
UPI, cards and netbanking
Connect your own Razorpay account and customers pay at checkout without leaving your site. The payment is confirmed on its own, and Razorpay's usual fee is the only one.
-
Straight to your UPI ID
No gateway account needed. Customers scan a QR carrying the exact amount, pay from any UPI app and give you the reference. You check your bank app and confirm — nothing ships until you do.
-
Cash on delivery
Offer it on every order, add a fee for it, or stop offering it above an order value you choose.
-
Another currency
Pricing in US dollars, euros, pounds, dirhams or Singapore dollars? Customers pay through your own Stripe account instead.
Your products
Tell Genni what you sell
Adding a product is a sentence, in the same chat that built your site. Genni sets the price and the stock, adds sizes and colours, asks you for a photo and writes a description if you'd like one. Or open the Shop tab and type it in yourself.
- “Add eggless brownie box, ₹450, 20 in stock”
- “Give the kurta sizes S, M, L and XL”
- “Make the XL ₹899, and show ₹1,099 struck through”
- “Write a warm description for the gift hamper”
- A real catalogue
- Up to 500 products in up to 50 categories, with 6 photos each.
- Sizes, colours, weights
- Up to 3 options on a product and 50 combinations, each with its own price if you want.
- Stock that keeps count
- Track it for each size or colour. A combination that runs out shows as sold out on its own.
- Things people download
- Attach a file of up to 50 MB. The link is emailed once payment is confirmed and works for 30 days and 5 downloads.
How the shop looks
Part of your site, not bolted on
Your shop pages take the style you chose for the site — its colours, fonts, corners and buttons — and a layout that suits it: a grid, a list that reads like a menu, big photos for a boutique, a shelf for each category.
There are 8 layouts for the shop and category pages, 5 card styles and 5 product-page layouts. Let your style choose, pick one in your shop settings, or ask Genni to change it. Each product gets its own page, with the details search engines look for.
Everything after “Add to cart”
The parts of running a shop that usually end up on paper, or in someone's WhatsApp.
Delivery
-
Charges by PIN code or state
A rate for each area, free delivery above an amount you set, and how long it takes to arrive.
-
Pickup from your shop
Let local customers collect instead of paying for delivery.
-
Shiprocket, if you use it
Live courier rates at checkout and a delivery check on every product page. Ship an order from your dashboard, and it's marked delivered when it arrives.
-
A minimum order
Set one and checkout won't take an order below it.
Orders and customers
-
One order inbox
Every order in one list, with an email to you and to your customer when it's placed, shipped or cancelled. Refund an online payment from the order itself.
-
GST invoices
CGST and SGST, or IGST, worked out from your state, and numbered in their own series.
-
Customer accounts
Customers sign in with a code sent to their email — no password — to see their orders, reuse an address and keep a wishlist. Or they check out as a guest.
-
Coupons and reviews
A percentage or a fixed amount off, with a minimum order if you like. Reviews show only once you approve them, and "Verified purchase" comes from your own orders.
-
A nudge for unfinished checkouts
One email, about 90 minutes after someone leaves their address without ordering. Switch it off if you'd rather not.
What it costs
One price for the whole shop
Billed with the plan that keeps your site online, on the same term. No commission, no fee per order and no charge per product. Your payment provider's usual fee still applies to online payments.
₹3,000 / year
with a yearly plan, or ₹250 / month on the monthly plan
- Build and fill the shop free while your site is a draft — it shows in your preview
- Pay when you publish: tick “Include the online store”. It renews with your plan, and on autopay the same mandate covers both
- Already live? Add it to your plan and pay only for the rest of the current term
- If your plan lapses, the shop closes with the site and nothing is deleted. Renewing reopens it
Questions about the store
Do I need a Razorpay account?
No. Cash on delivery and payments to your own UPI ID both work without one. Connect Razorpay when you want customers to pay by card or netbanking, or by UPI with the payment confirmed for you.
Does GenWeb take a share of my sales?
No. Online payments go into your own Razorpay or Stripe account, which charges its usual fee. The store's price on your plan is all we charge for the shop.
Can I set it up before I pay?
Yes. Turn the store on while your site is still a draft and set up everything — products, payments, delivery — and you'll see the shop in your preview. You pay for it when you publish, together with your plan. If your site is already live, add it to your plan and pay only for the rest of the current term.
What happens if my plan lapses?
The shop closes with the site. Your products, orders and customers are kept, and renewing the plan reopens the same shop.
Can I change how the shop looks later?
Any time, at no cost. Change your site's style and the shop follows it, or pick a layout of your own in the shop settings — the shop pages update within a few seconds.
Build the site. The shop is a switch away.
Tell Genni about your business first. You can turn the store on from your dashboard whenever you're ready.
