Cancellation and refund policy

1. What you are buying

GenWeb sells digital services: publishing and hosting a website, and credits spent on building and editing it. Nothing is shipped.

2. Publishing subscriptions

Publishing is ₹500 per year on a genweb.in address, ₹3,000 per year on your own domain, or ₹300 per month. If the site does not work as described, tell us within seven days of paying and we will refund that term in full.

After seven days, we will refund the unused portion of an annual term on request, less any domain registration fee already paid to a registrar. A monthly plan can be cancelled at any time and simply stops at the end of the month you have paid for.

3. Credits

Credits pay for builds, extra pages and edits — never for hosting or a domain, which are billed directly. If an action fails and no site change was made, the credits are returned to your balance automatically; you do not need to ask.

The credits included with a plan reset at each renewal: an unused allowance does not carry forward, and is not refundable. Credits you bought yourself never expire, and can be refunded within thirty days of purchase. Write to hello@genweb.in and we will process it.

4. Domains

A domain registration is paid straight through to the registrar and cannot be refunded once registered. The domain remains yours, and you can transfer it away at any time.

5. How long a refund takes

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within five to seven working days.
